October

October was full of different activities.  Owen and I got to travel down to South Carolina to visit MM and Paw-Paw.

He is such a cool dude.

Growing up, my Step-Dad Bill and I always had a little competition in October.  Obviously they sell the large pumpkins for carving, but they also have the little pumpkins usually used for decorating.  Bill and I would search to see who could find the littlest pumpkin.  This year I won! You can't see it in the picture, but Owen pj's say "Littlest Pumpkin in the Patch"!

We also got to cheer on my brother Michael in his first cyclocross race.  He has been racing for a while now and doing really well.  It was really fun to be able to watch him compete.  It had rained all morning and it was really muddy that day.  But Owen was a trooper and stuck it out under the tent in his matching jersey.

Uncle Michael, Aunt Gwyn and Owen

Just hanging out with Uncle Michael.

Owen on the bear-skin rug!
He got a seat all to himself for the ride home to Illinois.

Owen started eating solid food too.  We tried out green beans and he loved them!

Then of course we had to try-out trick-or-treating.  Owen couldn't have any of the candy, but that didn't mean we couldn't take a walk down the street to enjoy the decorations and other costumes.  Owen was the cutest little dragon on the block.

There's a dragon in there somewhere.

There he is!
