Owen and I got to travel to North Dakota to visit her family for her parents 60th wedding anniversary. No one knew that Owen and I were coming and it was such a surprise because I hadn't seen most of my uncles, aunts or cousins since my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. My mom met us in Chicago and then we traveled the rest of the way together. It was wonderful to spend time with family that I haven't seen in years.

Thanksgiving this year gave Nick and I a lot of things to be thankful for. We got to celebrate the holiday with his family in Peoria. And who doesn't love a holiday that involves food?
Owen got to enjoy green beans and sweet potatoes for his Thanksgiving meal.
But apparently that wasn't enough for him. He wanted turkey too!
*Disclaimer: Owen did not really eat turkey!
